Fisioterapia Uroginecológica
A fisioterapia uroginecológica é uma especialidade que atua no tratamento conservador das disfunções urogenitais e anorretais como, por exemplo, a incontinência urinária de esforço (IUE) e as distopias genitais (entre as mais conhecidas está a ‘queda de bexiga’). A fisioterapia é apontada como procedimento de primeira escolha no tratamento destas disfunções visto que vários estudos têm mostrado a possibilidade desta intervenção evitar ou postergar o processo cirúrgico.
Fisioterapia Uroginecológica através da reeducação funcional do assoalho pélvico atua na prevenção e tratamento da incontinência urinária e fecal feminina. A incontinência urinária caracteriza-se pela perda involuntária de urina de forma espontânea ou aos mínimos esforços. Esta situação torna-se um inconveniente, tanto no aspecto social quanto higiênico, visto que nos casos mais graves, esta perda pode ocorrer pela simples vontade de urinar. O tratamento consiste no fortalecimento do assoalho pélvico (períneo) e na reeducação do funcionamento da bexiga.
Podem ser submetidas ao tratamento: mulheres que apresentam incontinência urinária de qualquer natureza, mulheres climatéricas, pacientes com déficit neurológico que comprometa a função gênito-urinária e mulheres com alguma distopia gential. No tratamento são utilizados diversos recursos a fim de promover o bem-estar da paciente: cinesioterapia, eletroterapia, exercícios proprioceptivos, orientações e modernas técnicas prescritas após minuciosa avaliação e reavaliação constante. A atenção Fisioterapêutica melhora e diminui as disfunções da estática lombopélvica, facilitando a função uroesfincteriana e promovendo até a correção de outras disfunções. Os portadores de incontinência urinária, prolapsos e dores relacionados às cicatrizes cirúrgicas no períneo podem e devem ser tratadas por esse método: simples, indolor e eficaz.
